Hotel Mystays Kameido (Tokyo, Japan)

Numerous visitors loved that this hotel is set in a calm, uncrowded part of Tokyo where everyday city life can be observed and appreciated. Many travellers also liked the fact that there are plenty of cheap local eateries, small shops and pleasant parks located very close by

Polite, patient and blessed with some pretty impressive English language skills; it's no wonder the reception team here have been showered with praise by so many guests.

A significant number of visitors have drawn attention to the strong, reliable and generally pretty impressive wireless Internet provided throughout this hotel. Unsurprisingly, this has led some guests to muse why so many other budget hotels in this super-high-tech city cannot manage to equal this feat.

Whilst it is indeed true that getting to places like Akihabara, Ochanomizu, Shinjiku and Nakano on the train is relatively straightforward from Kameido station, many travellers said the trains to more central areas weren't overly frequent and that the extra costs involved hit their wallets/purses quickly and significantly.

Very few guests approved of this hotel's policy of not providing any (free) room cleaning services. That's right, you have to dispose of your rubbish yourself and go down to reception and exchange your bed sheets, pillowcases and towels whenever they need changing. In addition, you also get hit with a fine if your room isn't clean when you check-out!

The vast majority of guests who've stayed here have noted that the bathrooms really are incredibly small. Some guests have said they're even smaller than the bathrooms found in cruise ship cabins.
