The staff are praised for being really friendly and helpful. This includes helping with luggage as there isn’t a lift available. They are always polite and willing to go out of their way to ensure that you have an enjoyable stay.
The rooms are spacious clean and after a recent refurbishment have a contemporary feel to them. The showers receive a special mention as has the large and bright bathroom.
As the hotel is located in the town centre you may have issues with parking. The hotel doesn’t have its own car park which means that you will have to use public car parks. Some reviews report having a problem with the car parks pay by text facility and some previous guests have received tickets because they were not up early enough to top up the meter.
As the accommodation is situated above a pub and restaurant this can get quite noisy especially as the pub is open until the early hours of the morning. Guests with rooms at the front of the hotel may also experience noise from the street.
The beds are not very comfortable with some of them being really low down which gives the feeling that you are sleeping on the floor
