Situated in a commanding position overlooking the Atlantic, Mirachoro I offers self catering accommodation in a multi-building complex to guests looking for a no-fuss independent holiday. The apartments are simply furnished, and have understated décor. Each features separate sleeping and lounge/dining areas, equipped kitchenette and private balcony. They can accommodate as many as four, and some have sea views. Reception is open 24 hours and can assist with tours, transfers and local information. There is a games area with pool table and other games, which is fun for the whole family. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The on-site café serves all meals, and is a great spot to grab either a bite to eat, or a delicious cocktail. Mirachoro I is situated a bit inland, with popular Alemaes Beach being about 1.6 miles away from the property. Faro Airport is approximately 28 miles to the east.
Whatever other problems guests had with their apartment, its size certainly wasn't one of them. Again and again they expressed their astonishment that their apartment was much bigger than the anticipated, and more than big enough for their group.
Though not the best pool terrace guests had ever seen, they did certainly appreciate having it available so they could take a quick refreshing dip at the end of a long hot day. Also, many mentioned that it was relatively uncrowded, and they didn't have any problem finding a sun lounger.
Many guests felt that the beautiful sea views to be had from most of the apartments made up for the somewhat out of the way location.
Several guests seemed rather shocked to find that their apartment had no air conditioning. They maintained that some of the complex's marketing materials stated that there was in-room air conditioning. Naturally, those travelling in mid-summer were unhappiest, saying that their apartment was uncomfortably hot.
This complaint came up quite often. Guests mentioned that the surrounding area looked alternatively abandoned and run down. It certainly wasn't a tourist hub with cafes and bars on the street. Accessing these would require a car trip, or fairly long walk.
Several guests were miffed to be charged either fees or deposits for simple things that they really believed should be included. These included fees for very simple concierge services and a deposit to use a TV remote control.
