The rooms have understated décor and are well equipped with all the typical practical amenities. While the indoor pool is the star of the show, many guests may prefer the onsite gym, where they can continue their workout routine uninterrupted. There is ample parking onsite, including special bays for trucks and buses. A simple continental breakfast is served daily, but there are some highly rated restaurants nearby for the other two meals. The Riverside Smokehouse and Grill is just steps away and serves hearty grilled food to appreciative diners. The town center and Quincy Mall are about a mile to the east. Those who feel their luck is on the rise will find the Mark Twain Casino 14 miles to the north.
Perhaps the biggest compliment was not one made directly. In their reviews an astonishing number of guests mentioned that they had often stayed at the hotel previously and intend to do so in the future. More than any other factor, this seems to indicate that they were very satisfied with their stay.
Guests in rooms facing the river reported that they offered some great views of a Mississippi River that was certainly mighty at that point. They found it very restful to be able to gaze out over the river.
