The rooms are light and bright and feature all the modern conveniences to keep you informed entertained and connected, including flat screen TV’s and fast Wi-Fi. All the practical amenities, like hair dryers and air conditioning come as standard. Some rooms also have small kitchenettes. The star attraction is undoubtedly the sparking pool with its sunny deck, but those looking for more activity will find an equipped fitness center onsite. Animal lovers will be happy to know that pets are allowed. A simple continental breakfast is served every morning, while there are a variety of restaurants nearby for the other two meals. The hotel is part of an extensive shopping and entertainment precinct, so shoppers will not have far to travel. Downtown Yuma is 12 miles to the west.
Guests liked the hotel’s location for two reasons. The main one was that it was in the midst of a shopping and entertainment center which had a good variety of dining options. Guests didn’t feel they needed to even get in their car to be able to get to great restaurants and shops. The other reason was that the hotel was right by the interstate, which was very convenient for car travel.
Again and again guests would comment how wonderful the hotel’s staff had been during their stay. They were said to offer a warm and genuine welcome and generally carry out their duties with an upbeat and friendly attitude.
Guests were pretty happy with the continental breakfast offered. They were especially pleased that it was complimentary and available right in their hotel.
A worrying number of guests mentioned that the carpets in their room were dirty and stained. Some believed a thorough cleaning would be enough to get them to an acceptable state, but most believed they would need to be replaced.
It seems that the hotel has rooms of varying sizes, even those sold in the same booking class. Guests in particularly small rooms were not impressed, to say the least. They found the room uncomfortably small in and of itself and also felt hard done by, since others clearly had much larger rooms.
Reading through the reviews it was like a tale of two hotels. But only one hotel was being reviewed. It seems that some rooms have been renovated and others not. Most of the unhappy guests were clearly in the unrenovated rooms, saying that they were clearly showing their age and needed a full revamp.
