Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Wilkes Barre is a non-smoking hotel which is great news for those who don't imbibe and like a guest room that smells less like an ashtray and more like it's fresh and clean.

This hotel is only one mile from Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Casino and close to lots of shopping, restaurants and entertainment venues. Many of the city's most popular attractions are a short drive away and with close proximity to I 81, you can reach the property with very little hassle.

The staff at this hotel is one of the best features of the property. Warm, courteous and caring, they are happy to help you in any way they can and point you towards the best restaurants, shopping and popular attraction this area has to offer.

Things can get noisy

If you are looking for a quiet stay, be sure to request a room facing away from I 81 and towards the valley. The constant hum of traffic, which is especially noticeable at night, can keep you up well past your bedtime.

Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Wilkes Barre only allows ADA defined service animals which is too bad for those who like to travel with their favorite canine companions.

There are times when the housekeeping staff is on top of things but others when the staff really misses the mark. Bathrooms that are not well-cleaned, carpeting in need of a good vacuuming and hairs left on places they shouldn't be could make your stay less-than pleasant.
