Guests really liked being close to the I-35. They were close enough that they were able to quickly find the hotel on arrival, but not so close that they were disturbed by the traffic noise at night. They also felt it was really easy to get into Austin on the freeway.

Guests were clearly very impressed with the standard of cleanliness of the hotel, both for the rooms and public areas. Complaints were very rare indeed, with even self admitted “neat freaks” complimenting housekeeping for keeping everything in tip top shape.

Pretty much all guests bringing up the question of value for money believed that they had been provided with decent clean accommodation in a convenient spot at what they considered a very reasonable room rate.

The vast majority of guests had a very low opinion of the breakfast offered. The hotel describes it as a simple continental, but guests felt it was poor even by these limited standards. There was said to be insufficient variety, and what was actually there was often said to be stale or poorly prepared.

An extraordinary number of guests reported experiencing problems with their TV’s. The issue was usually that the cable simply didn’t work. The set top box typically had to be reset repeatedly to allow guests to receive any channels at all. It was most frustrating.

Guests didn’t think much of the room soundproofing. They said they could easily hear fairly regular sounds, like people talking, from adjacent rooms. It was also felt that the doors were no good in this respect either, with hallway noise also easily detectable in the rooms.
