Rooms are very good value and include real essentials: cleanliness and comfort. There's a ‘mirror, mirror on the wall' - the complete length of it actually. So there's no fighting for space! Everything is as it says on the tin, there are very few frills but all the essentials are here. Excellent value.
There are gripes about things that are missing here and the pool is a case in point. If you're high maintenance and want lots of frills, then this hotel isn't for you. If, though, you've read the hotel's very clear publicity and want good value basics, you'll be thrilled to go without unnecessary frills.
All staff members are great; very friendly, informative and eager to ensure that you enjoy your stay. They are here to help you cut costs on things that you don't really need anyway. They'll provide extra towels but maybe you don't actually need the room to be cleaned every day? If so, save some money. Let's face it; some hotels charge for the service, but fail to deliver.
There are some things that you really need when staying in a hotel like this; coffee is one, but it's not included here. Neither is a microwave. The place is clean, generally, but corridor carpets are very yucky. No excuse for that.
One thing they could cut out all together is breakfast. It's not very nice. Discontinuing this would be no loss to the guest.
There's nobody on duty. You have to ring a bell to lure them away from whatever else it is that they are doing. Tiresome!
