The setting is exquisite and very peaceful. You are immediately lulled into a slower pace of life, but with excellent services from delightful staff members. There’s a lovely sun deck area. The beach is pristine and the sea is beautifully warm for bathing. Serenity is enhanced by the complete lack of kids. Some of the pleasing rooms are further enhanced by the presence of a Jacuzzi ... so that’s another firm tick.

The food is delightful here but if you fancy a change to the routine, the friendly reception people will recommend alternative restaurants that are just a short drive away and along the same road, so easy to find. Kitchen Table and Hartwood are just two possibilities to savour. There are plenty of taxis around if that is your preferred mode of transport.

From the sunbeds, the views over the sea are incredible. Expertly administered sunbed massages only add to the thrill of the stay.

There is no direct beach access. The beach can be reached within a five-minute walk. The sister hotel, it has to be said, is far superior for beach access.

Disappointingly, some rooms can be on the small side with limited storage space.

It is a great hotel but overpriced for what it delivers. The bar and restaurant, for instance, are in the middle of the property. This poor design feature means that noise can be a feature at all times, depending on where your room is located.
