Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo truly lives up to its 5-star designation. The architectural designs, furniture, trimmings, and outdoor spaces are all done to perfection. Most guests have reported that the level of comfort in the rooms is second to none. The hotel even offers guests discounts on their bills for inconveniences such as broken down air conditioning systems.
The hotel's three restaurants are really good at their specialties. Many guests have been pleased with the quality of dishes served in Joël Robuchon restaurant, while lovers of Japanese cuisine say the Japanese experience at Yoshi is one of the best in town. The al fresco eating area around the pool is tastefully designed.
The hotel is situated very close to the Metropole shopping center just across the square and the famous Monte-Carlo boutiques.
The checkout process at Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo can be rather long especially during peak season when there are many guests visiting.
While most guests are very happy with the level of service by the hotel's staff, a few have reported that the concierge services are not as good and can be slow or unresponsive.
The hotel does not do the usual plebeian breakfast buffet that is common with many high-end hotels but instead wheels in a grand wooden trolley laden with cold cuts, different types of bread, a selection of cheese, fruit, yoghurt and a cacophony of breakfast items. While many guests appreciate this flamboyance, others find it a bit overwhelming.
