Beautiful, Inside and Out
In addition to being captivated by the views of the pyramids, guests were impressed with the beautiful lobby and communal areas at Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx Hotel. Especially the well-maintained pool, which is over 9 feet deep. Kids also enjoyed the outdoor playground. Furthermore, the service most guests received was memorable, and the staff was always pleasant to talk to.
Overall, guests were also pleased with their accommodations. The rooms and the balconies are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the A/C is strong and quiet. In addition, the breakfast buffet is a delight to wake up to, featuring a wide variety of foods.
Several guests thought renovations are necessary as some rooms that were not well maintained have begun to show their age. The decor is dated, the furniture is old, and the carpet appears worn. Cosmetic touch ups and better cleaning would also improve the overall appearance.
The Wi-Fi can be a hit or miss. Several guests found that the signal was spotty and others said the browsing speed was just too slow, even in the public areas.
Though most guests were impressed with the service they received, the staff may be slow to respond to requests to the room.
