Memorial University offers summertime campus accommodation ideal for conferences and events. A range of different room types are available including one and two bedroom suites with en suite bathroom facilities or dorm style accommodation with shared toilet and shower facilities. All rooms have a desk and accessible rooms are also available. All accommodation is no smoking. Free Wi-Fi access is offered to all guests and the front desk is open around the clock. Luggage storage is available along with laundry facilities. Conference and meeting facilities can be booked and guests can visit the campus gym or swimming pool. Bicycle rental is offered along with bicycle storage. Guests can grab a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant such as Sakura Sushi, Big Bite Pizza or Subway. Memorial University is just ten minutes’ drive from both St. John’s International Airport and downtown St. John’s.
Visitors were astounded with the excellent room prices at this summer accommodation. For this time of the year, guests felt these tariffs were difficult to come by during the busy season, and took full advantage by staying an extra couple of nights.
The on-site parking is inexpensive according to most visitors who found the bays wider than usual, eliminating the need to try and squeeze in toward the end of the day when it becomes a little full.
Even though these are only dorm rooms, guests were amazed by the availability of the 24-hour front desk who went out of their way to make each and every guest feel comfortable. House-keeping staff also did an excellent job with keeping the rooms spotlessly clean and tidy.
Guests found the kitchens to be spacious with clean and modern counter tops along with a great design. What confused almost all guests was the lack of any cutlery and crockery which made cooking anything impossible.
