About Melton Wold Guest Farm

Melton Wold is a working sheep- and game farm and offers a complete holiday venue, away from the rush of big city life. Established in 1935, it is the oldest guest farm in South Africa! Accommodation consists of single, twin-bedded, double and family rooms and is provided in an enlarged farmhouse, the main part of which dates back to 1889. Most of the rooms have fireplaces. The guest house is child and pet friendly. The caravan park consists of 10 sites on grass and each stand has its own electricity, water tap and braai. The farm produces its own livestock, especially Karoo lamb and springbuck, and is the foundation of excellent cuisine. We serve dinner and breakfast. Lunch consists of a coffeeshop style menu. We have a ladies bar, The Dear and Pheasant. Activities: Walking, Cycling, tenniscourt, bowling green, trampoline, playground for children, swimming pool, 200 species of birds, game viewing, farming activities, Bradysaurus fossil, Diamond mine where De Beers mined in the 1960's. Darts, table tennis, decoids, billiard table, board games.
