Service at Meliá Cohiba is excellent. The front desk is welcoming and helpful; they can provide useful tips for sightseeing in Havana. Service at the restaurants and bars is also extremely good and makes the stay very enjoyable.
This hotel offers a good standard of accommodation for Havana. The property is beautiful, modern and well maintained and the rooms are cleaner than at most hotels in the city. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and include large beds and lovely views of the city and sea.
While the hotel isn’t located right downtown, it’s in a nice spot facing the sea. There are plenty of taxis out front to get you to central and old Havana in minutes and the free shuttle is great. The drive is nice and scenic along the seafront, which is a bonus as well. Additionally, dining options are great; the breakfast is actually very good and the range of restaurants is impressive, with good prices and service. Another bonus, the pool area is nice and has plenty of sun loungers so you can relax after a long day out. This hotel is a great option in Havana thanks to the wide range of facilities, great service and pretty location.
Meliá Cohiba is a bit far from the action if you want to be in central Havana. You’ll have to take cabs or the shuttle to get into central and old Havana where, as a tourist, you’ll likely want to spend most of your time.
The Internet is pricey and slow at best.
