With the hotel having its own dedicated bistro area, fresh and locally sourced food is served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are always made to order and can be altered to suit all requirements and requests, with guests giving high praise for the food at McHalls Hotel.

Guests at the hotel are unanimous in their opinion of the level of cleanliness on display at McHalls hotel. Every area, from the linen to the en-suite bathrooms, is noted as being spotlessly clean.

With children under the age of 16 not permitted to stay at McHalls Hotel, this accommodation choice is not appropriate for those that are visiting Blackpool with younger companions.

While the rooms are praised for the most part, a small complaint that crops up occasionally is that the rooms are small in size. The limited space in the rooms means that storage space is also at a premium, although this was not a problem for the large majority of previous visitors to the hotel.

Due to McHalls Hotel being close to the nightlife in Blackpool, a number of rooms – most notably those at the front of the hotel – unfortunately suffer from noise pollution at night according to some past guests.
