The Hotel Mayafair Design is a hotel that has been converted from a disused shopping centre and offers quirky Mayan-inspired accommodation, in the mix of Cancun’s popular hotel zone on the Yucatán Peninsula. Funky themed rooms feature an open plan and feature an en-suite bathroom, complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, living spaces and TVs. The hotel has a small fitness area and includes free parking. Reception is also open 24 hours a day and it can arrange tours and day trips. Within a five minute walk from the hotel are many local cafes and bars which serve traditional Mexican dishes with English menus. There is a Starbucks ten minutes walk away at the nearby shopping centre The beach is only a three minute walk from the Hotel Mayafair Design and it is a 15 minute walk to the Hard Rock Cafe and popular bars and restaurants in the hotel zone.
The reception staff at the hotel were singled out by reviewers as being very friendly and helpful towards their guests with many people commenting that these staff were great at their jobs, making check in and out a breeze.
The hotel is located in the middle of the hotel zone in popular Cancun and with many all-inclusive resorts across the road and lining the beach access, many thought that finding this hotel so cheaply with virtually the same access to local beaches and shopping centres was good value.
