Situated in an amazing central spot, right across from the Grand Theater of Cibao, Matum Hotel and Casino offers classy accommodation ideal for those looking for a bit of gambling and nightlife. The rooms are elegantly furnished and decorated, and feature large and modern en-suite bathrooms with hairdryers, as well as a number of other practical amenities. While guests can enjoy the pool deck and surrounds during the day, it is at night that the property really comes alive, with patrons trying their luck at the casino or dancing the night away at the nightclub. Those near both the casino and the nightclub reported that they could definitely hear the noise from those venues, and that it disturbed their sleep at night. They recommended that light sleepers choose a room on the other side of the building.

There were an extraordinary number of problems guests had with the beds. Two of the most common complaints were that the mattresses were simply uncomfortable and that the beds squeaked with even the slightest movement.
