Hotel Mariposa Inn & Suites (Monterey, USA)

The rooms have been described as well-presented and stylishly decorated with quality furniture and upholstery. Guests appreciated having open fireplaces in their rooms as well as outside space in the shape of patios and balconies. Many appreciated having all the necessary mod-cons including microwaves and refrigerators which enabled guests to prepare and store their own food.

Guests were pleased to find that they were only a few steps away from many of the amenities including the local shopping mall which is across the street from the hotel as well as numerous bars and restaurants. Many also appreciated the hotel's proximity to numerous attractions such as the aquarium as well as the beach.

Many chose to spend their free time relaxing on the poolside loungers or having a soak in the outdoor hot-tub. The courtyard with its cozy fire pit and plenty of seating areas also proved a popular spot for guests looking to socialize and unwind.

The inn overlooks a rather busy road and some guests said that they found it difficult to fall asleep due to the traffic noise. Others also objected to being woken up by noise from the adjoining rooms as well as those above them.

Some of the guests were disappointed to find dust and cobwebs in their rooms whilst others mentioned that the housekeeping staff did not service their suites on a daily basis.

Not all of the rooms have air-conditioning units much to the disappointment of some of the guests. Those who stayed here during warmer weather said that their rooms felt uncomfortably warm and had to keep their windows open at night in order to cool down.
