The complimentary continental breakfast buffet features high-quality, tasty foods. Guests left lots of positive reviews about the morning meal. The only downside is the seating area it quite small, so you may find it tough to grab a table on busy days. However, you are free to take the breakfast tray up to your room.
Marina Beach Motel boasts a great location, just steps from the beach. Guests appreciated being able to walk to the ocean, shopping and dining. The trolley stop is also within walking distance, convenient for getting around the city. State Street is an excellent shopping destination, and can be reached on foot.
Guests loved the modern, renovated rooms with pleasant decor. The rainfall shower was a major highlight and parking was considered quite convenient. In addition, guests appreciated the hotel's free bike rentals and complimentary beach towels for use during the stay.
Select rooms feature a kitchenette. Unfortunately, these kitchenettes are very minimally equipped. Most guests were disappointed and had not been clearly explained that additional dishes and utensils can be requested from the front desk at no charge.
There is no restaurant onsite and guests noticed that the closest dining options to the hotel shut down down quite early. Places closer to downtown are open later, however. It's also a good idea to double check the hours before you make plans.
Several guests thought the room size was too small and the layout made it feel cramped compared to what they're used to. Most guests thought the accommodations were comfortable, however, and had no complaints.
