Hotel Maria Rosa Resort (Calangute, India)

To be honest, there were very few positive comments made about Maria Rosa. One of the rare one was that it had a half-decent pool, though the chairs and tables surrounding it were said to be lacking.

While not right on the beach, it is about a mile away, which several guests felt was within reasonable walking distance. Considering their room-rate, they felt that the location was reasonably good. Also stated was that there were some restaurants and other amenities along the main road nearby

A couple of guests mentioned that the property is pretty quiet, so they had no trouble getting to sleep. Unfortunately they maintain that is was quiet because hardly anybody was staying there on account of the property's deficiencies.

Again and again guests mentioned how very dirty their rooms were on check-in. They also maintained that there was no real cleaning team to speak of, so cleanliness certainly didn't improve during their stay. Also, the whole property was said to be in an exceptionally poor state of repair.

On the whole, guests didn't enjoy any of the food from the on-site restaurant, but it was the breakfast that came in for the harshest criticism. It was said to consist of little more than a slice of toast and a cup of tea.

It was mentioned that the property seems to have a problem with stray dogs, which might become aggressive. Guests who have a fear of dogs may have an issue.
