ABOUT MAGELLAN'S HOTEL Magellan's Hotel has stunning views over False Bay and the Swartkop Nature Reserve. From July to November you can see the southern right whale from the balcony through our telescope or the ships and submarines of the SA Navy. MAGELLAN'S HOTEL ACCOMMODATION All the bedrooms are named after famous ships. They all have well appointed, spacious bedrooms, individually designed and decorated with great emphasis on comfort and extravagant luxury. All rooms come standard with free Wi-Fi in the entire property, air condition, room fan, en suite luxurious bathrooms/shower with under floor heating, dressing tables and chairs / sofa’s, telephone (landline), flat screen TV (wall mounted) with Hotel satellite bouquet channels, safe (fits a laptop), mini bar fridge, tea and coffee station in each room, hairdryer, bathrobe, bathroom (with under-floor heating) and beach towels, alarm clock, complimentary toiletries, fan, heater, international plug points. A DVD player is available on request. All rooms have king or twin beds with excellent quality white cotton linen and a particularly spacious bathroom with quality taps and fittings. White towels and face cloths are provided. All bathrooms have big baths and large showers as well as double hand basins and mirrors. Extra touches in these bathrooms including tissues, shower caps, shoe mitts, vanity and sewing kits. Rooms are cleaned daily and bed linen and towels changed daily (housekeeping service). Every room has a King size bed that can be splitted into two comfortable single beds if needed. Complimentary newspapers are provided and there is a library on the premises. FACILITIES AND SERVICES We have a guest lounge and dining room all sea facing with a balcony with majestic views of False Bay. There is a TV in the lounge, music, books and magazines are provided. The lounges have modern decor with plush sofas and easy chairs. Both are very spacious with spectacular views, interesting art and beautiful decorative pieces. Public areas and guest rooms are equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access. Airport transfers and concierge service are available per request. The guest house has a lift. The staff are multilingual and are knowledgeable on local attractions. Reception is open during office hours and smoking is allowed in demarcated areas.
