The room is super large and spacious and is designed in classic style. The bed is equally imposing; comfortable too. As you would expect, everything is extremely clean and well maintained. Water pressure is great for those relaxing showers.
It's an easy walk to the city centre and only 20 minutes to the Alhambra. Alternatively, just jump on the C3 bus. Granada itself has a unique climate. During the winter months, it's not unusual to see ‘day-trippers' (from down the road Costa del Sol resorts) walking around in T-shirt and shorts, but faced with Sierra Nevada's snow storms. All part of the attraction!
Breakfast is very good. Can't beat the smell of good coffee and fresh breads. The pool is excellent and also benefits from a good food and drink service.
If the street noise isn't enough, try a room near the pool where the chlorination related smells will knock you for six! Don't drink the tap water as it seems to have similar chlorination problems. The poolside rooms, though, are the ones with a balcony. Decision time?
Surprisingly, there is a dearth of information on places to go and eateries nearby. Why the secret! The air conditioning doesn't work properly and Wi-Fi is unreliable. Parking comes at a cost and there's not much of it. Staff, generally, seem to be overworked and stressed out … wonder why!
Rooms facing on to the street are prone to lots of traffic noise. There's no soundproofing and whilst this old town, ‘Centro', location couldn't be more convenient, there are real noise problems geared to traffic and general activity.
