Formerly part of the Abbey of Blanchland and full of character and architectural features, the hotel is a Grade II Listed building with traditional stone flagged floors and in parts dates back to the 12th century. The tranquil gardens were the Abbey's cloisters and the hotel also features a restaurant, private dining room, bar and conference facilities as well as being licensed to perform civil marriages.Location: in the beautiful medieval village of Blanchland, within the Derwent Valley, in the heart of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 40 Km. from Newcastle and 24 Km. from Hadrian's Wall and Durham Cathedral.
