Hotel Lone Pine, Penang, A Tribute Portfolio Resort (Batu Ferringhi, Malaysia)

The rooms are said to be beautifully decorated and very comfortable to sleep in. There was plenty of space to roam around with large balconies. The rooms were nicely appointed and the bathrooms were modern.

The views from the hotel and most of the rooms are said to be beautiful and worth the stay. It is located near the beach and therefore the ocean and green vegetation made for a picturesque area to wake up to.

The complimentary breakfast offered was a big hit with many guests who appreciated the many options available and the good taste. The cooking staff would cook omelets and other dishes to order, while there was plenty of western options to choose from.

The Wi-Fi was found to be slow and unreliable by some guests. They would try to use the Internet in their rooms but were annoyed when it would drop all of a sudden and they had to try to reconnect.

Some guests found the hotel could do a better job of maintaining the common areas such as the spa, the game room and the gym area. They felt a little more attention would make these areas more attractive, while the pool water did not seem to be clean.

Some guests felt the restaurant serving staff members were not very professional and did not communicate well with guests and other staff. This made service time to be slow and made it quite obvious to guests they were not attentive to details.
