Though there may be apartments with older décor, most guests were happy that the décor and furnishings in their room was modern and functional, rather than dated and obsolete.

The guests who were booked into apartments right on the beach were clearly the happiest of all. They describe it as a beautiful location, and so convenient to just be able to cross the road and be on the sand.

Most guests found the location a good base to explore the Cinque Terre. They describe Montorosso as a small village, where everything is within walking distance, which they found very convenient.

This is by far the most numerous, and serious, complaint aired by guests. Many claim that they booked specific rooms for their dates of travel, only to find on arrival that they are allocated another, typically inferior, room. They believe the owner is misleading them and not really taking any booking seriously, by simply allocating already booked rooms to others if it is more convenient for him.

The apartments are not all in one building, so guests often need to check in somewhere other than where they will be staying. This tends to create all sorts of confusion, and people getting lost on the way to the booking office or their apartment.

Although not a very common complaint, several guests did complain that a sewage smell seemed to pervade the apartment they were in. It seems at least one location has a recurring problem with its plumbing.
