Guests complimented the decor of the rooms which was described as traditional with quality pieces of furniture and upholstery. Comfortable 4-poster beds were appreciated by many as well as the spacious and clean bathrooms. Guests said that they had everything they needed in their rooms including hospitality trays and ample storage space.
The atmosphere at the hotel was said to be very relaxed as many guests said that they felt welcome and well looked after for the duration of their stay. The staff were described as attentive and friendly and guests also appreciated the presence of the hotel owners who were always on hand to offer assistance and advice when needed.
Guests who dined at the hotel restaurant were very complimentary about the quality of food on offer stating that the dishes were well prepared and made from fresh local ingredients. The extensive variety of meals on the menu was also greatly appreciated. The cooked breakfasts also met with the approval of many who said that that the full Welsh breakfasts were extremely tasty and the portions generous.
Guests reported several maintenance issues such as broken lights, television sets not working and radiators not functioning properly. These minor niggles however didn't prevent guests from fully enjoying their stay.
Several plumbing related issues were brought up by the guests including leaking showers, slow draining sinks and a lack of hot water which sometimes made bathing and showering difficult.
Those who wanted to connect to the Internet from their rooms were disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi signal was quite weak and intermittent which meant that they had to log on several times.
