The hotel is on a wide, tree lined street and next to the park. It’s almost unbelievable that Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Marble Arch are but a stone’s throw away.

The combination of this substantial building and lovely thick carpets ensures that noise isn’t a real problem here.

Beautiful breakfast, perfectly and freshly cooked and the portions are extremely generous.

There’s a tendency to try to charge you for breakfast that’s already included in the deal. So keep tabs on that. ‘Cash’ll do nicely’! On the other hand, they’ll give a discount if you pay cash; so you can hot foot it round to Oxford Street shops to squander the difference!

Look beneath the surface and it isn’t (quite) so clean as it first appears.

They work so hard to get many things right, it seems a bit niggardly to highlight some negatives. However, with staff; when it comes to service versus getting the cash; the latter wins every time. On a practical level; we all know that rooms need to be stripped when a guest leaves, but it gives a poor impression to the arriving guest to see dirty laundry stacked up in the corridors. Not necessary.
