Situated in the heart of the gorgeous Blue Mountains, and just 90 minutes drive from Sydney, Lilianfels Resort & Spa offers luxury accommodations set in an exquisitely tended garden. The rooms are very elegantly furnished and decorated, with a classical feel to them. Each features LCD TV with cable channels, air conditioning, minibar, ipod dock, hairdryer, in-room safe, tea/coffee stations, work desk and telephone. Lilianfels contains extensive wellness facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools and a tranquil day spa with extensive treatments available. For the more active, there is a full fitness centre, and for the techies free Wi-Fi throughout. Lilianfels, and the Blue Mountains region, is known as a foodie destination, and the resort has a number of restaurants that very much live up to the regions reputation. Katoomba town centre, with its cafes, restaurants and amenities is 1.3 miles from the resort.
While the resort has a couple of restaurants, it was Darley's Restaurant that came in for the most praise. While service was said to be slow, the food was top notch, with guests saying that it did justice to the regions reputation as a top foodie destination.
Guests mentioned not only how convenient the location was to Sydney, but also that it was just a short walk from the resort to the main view sites in the Blue Mountains. Both Echo Point and Scenic World were said to be well within easy walking distance.

A surprising number of guests mentioned that parking at Lilianfels was a bit of a frustrating affair. The resort's own parking lot was said to be insufficient for the number of guests, and while they did have valet parking, and there was also a nearby garage, these ended up being a bit awkward to use.
Many guests commented that they did not take their breakfast at the resort because it was typically not included, and to many simply astonishingly expensive. It was mentioned that there were several good options in town at much more reasonable rates.
While the food was generally highly rated, quite a number of guests spoke about the service being exceptionally slow. Not in a relaxed three hour lunch kind of way, but rather in a negative way with each little thing simply taking necessarily long.
