Guests loved the hotel's historic Marais location, since they were surrounded by a plethora of dining and shopping possibilities, close to many attractions, including Notre Dame, Bastille, and the Picasso Museum, and just a short walk away from the St. Paul Metro station. Despite this, the rooms were said to be quiet, thanks to good soundproofing.
The rooms at Hostellerie du Marais were popular thanks to comfortable beds, clean conditions and lovely, older style decor. On that note, guests loved the hotel's historic ambience, including the cellar breakfast room, but also appreciated having modern fixtures in areas like the bathrooms.
Those who stayed found the staff to be friendly and attentive, saying they received a very warm welcome. They reportedly also proved to be very much adept in advising on good local restaurants and how to get around the city.
The rooms at Hostellerie du Marais are apparently relatively small according to some — but on the whole not bad for Paris — and a few guests found their stay to be a little bit expensive. However, these points do not seem to have been big issues for guests, given that they enjoyed all other aspects of their stay.
