Hotel Lemon & Soul Las Palmas (Las Palmas, Spain)

The hotel location is certainly something to brag about. It's an easy walk to the beach and restaurants and very near the Playa de Canteras a well. All the bona fide tourist sites and shops are right there. In fact, nearly everything is within walking distance.

Room sizes are decent and if you are lucky, you will have a room with a view. There is plenty of storage space as well.

Reception is quite friendly and helpful. They offer little favours like holding your luggage for you and printing boarding passes.

You may find the Internet spotty, and the rooms are not so comfortable as far as furnishings go. The TV has no international stations and the walls are thin. You can easily hear your neighbours. Even the housekeeping seems loud. Noise from the stairs and doors can be annoying. In addition, the décor appears dead and uninspiring. There is no air conditioning either.

You may find yourself in a room facing people's apartments. This means you have to keep your curtains closed all the time as if you are in a grave. It's uncomfortable to have people looking into your room all the time. Staying in a room with windows facing another building with no privacy is not cool.

Hotel cleaners could do a better job. Moreover, you may find the terrible smell of garbage from the street irritating. The hotel towels are quite thin and do little to help when drying off after a shower. The mattress has no cover either.
