All the rooms are individually decorated and most have hardwood floors and exposed brickwork. Each features air conditioning, flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, Keurig coffee maker, work desk telephone and more. The hotel has some charming little lounge areas in which to relax, as well as meeting spaces for business people. But what it really excels at is its personalized service. Concierge and other staff are always ready to assist. The Old Town is known for its restaurants, and reception staff will be eager to offer you there best local dining recommendations if asked. Le Saint-Pierre Auberge Distinctive is in the heart of the Old Town. The acclaimed Museum of Civilization is right opposite and the Citadel just minutes away on foot.
Guests couldn’t say enough good things about the staff. It wasn’t only the reception staff that received praise, but all the staff from doorman to housekeeping. Guests felt that the staff gave excellent service and even better advice and recommendations when these were called for.
Leisure travelers to Quebec City, of course, come to see the sights of the Old Town, so guests were very happy to be in a hotel right at its heart. But not only was it in the Old Town, it was also of it, since the hotel is in an exquisitely restored 200 year old building.
It was near impossible to find an unkind word written about the breakfast. Guests described it as delicious, served in wonderful surroundings and consisting of enough variety to offer a great start to their day.
Firstly, it must be said that the reviews were simply overwhelmingly positive. It was near impossible to find any negative points raised more than once. One of the rare ones was that some felt their room was a bit small. The hotel is in an older converted building, and as is often the case all rooms, even if sold in the same booking class, are not of the same size. It appears that at least one or two rooms are on the small side.
