Hotel Le Parc at Melrose (West Hollywood, USA)

Situated on a quiet residential street, this upscale hotel is a perfect respite from the bustle, while also just a short stroll from restaurants, bars and shopping.  The rooftop pool and tennis courts are delightful (although the pool is a bit small).  There's also a restaurant on the roof, and a gym available. Dining on-site is pleasant, popular, and of a great quality, and the breakfast room service is ordered the night before via door hangers - then delivered and set up promptly at the time requested. Lots of spaces to settle in and enjoy a drink overlooking the city. The parking costs a bit, but is the same price as valet service and has unlimited in-and-out privileges. This is a hotel popular among celebrities.

Some rooms favor apartments quite a bit with their layout, furnishings and brilliant color schemes. Quiet on all sides of the building. Clean and well-organized with contemporary decor, cozy beds and decent Wi-Fi.  Bedrooms and living areas are often separated by a curtain. Enjoy a cup of coffee in your plush bathrobe while overlooking the city on your private balcony.

All staff will make you smile here.  From valet to reception, wait staff to bartenders, nothing is too much trouble.  They'll entertain requests off the menu and rush fresh wine glasses to your room upon your call, pronto!

A few found stained sheets, forgotten cigarette butts and oddly placed furnishings in their units.  Others had trouble with noise through doors and walls.

Parking is difficult off-site, but some have attempted it.  Valet costs the same as self-park in the hotel garage, but it isn't cheap.

Some felt the gym needed more space and equipment for a full workout.
