Located across the street from Gare de l'Est metro and train station and 10-minutes’ walk from Gare du Nord, this hotel gives easy access to Paris by public transport. Montmartre, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre Museum can all be reached by metro in 22-minutes. There are also many shops, cafes and restaurants close to the hotel.
The staff are reportedly friendly, attentive and ready to serve guests by meeting special requests and assisting new arrivals with tourist information.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and have plenty of storage space. Some rooms were found to be compact but nevertheless comfortable, while others reported having more spacious rooms.
Internally and externally the hotel can be quite noisy. Guests felt that the rooms were not actually sound proofed as the sounds from adjoining rooms, including others’ conversations, creaky floor boards and beds could be heard. The close proximity to Gare de L'est also means that you hear the sound of traffic and the metro and trains passing until the early morning.
The breakfast offering and venue is not satisfactory. Some guests felt that the dishes were not tasty and at times they were not adequately replenished. The breakfast room was also found to be very small and felt crowded.
Guests reported that the hotel entrance is difficult to find, and also that the entrance was dirty and did not reflect the hotel’s four-star standing. Some guests reported that their rooms, including the bathrooms, were uncomfortably small.
