Hotel Le Clos Fontaine (Biarritz, France)

It's a quaint hotel with only a few rooms. The rooms are a decent size so you can actually move around and there's enough room for your luggage. It's more like a boarding or guest house more so than an actual hotel.

Room furnishings are not bad. You will receive the basics to make your stay comfortable. Everything is clean to an acceptable standard. It's not a four-star establishment but the standard is acceptable.

At least the location will not allow you to get bored. Within five-minutes you are at the beach and the market. Within ten-minutes you are at the city centre. A lovely park is a few blocks away and there's a nice route to the water. Rocher de la Vierge is south of the hotel and there's plenty of restaurants and shopping close by.

You will be surprised how far away the parking is. It's like parking in another town. You will have at least a fifteen-minute walk to the parking each way!

Don't be surprised to hear loud noise outside such as people speeding on their motorbikes, boosting up their car engines, and loud talking up and down the street. If you have visitors on the floor above you, the creaky floors will probably get on your nerves. There is no air conditioning, so you have to keep the window open, which makes the noise even worse.

The breakfast is not included. However, whether you want to pay extra is a matter of preference. You may find the cold buffet not worth the additional cost though. You can find better and cheaper at the outside restaurants.
