Hotel Lavender Lodge Kota Kinabalu (Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia)

Guests absolutely loved the location of the hotel, saying that it was very central. They seemed to have no trouble walking to all the cafes, restaurants, shops and other amenities they cared to visit.

Guests were very happy with the value proposition of the hotel. They reckoned that their room rate was exceptionally low but that they still received perfectly adequate accommodation in a fantastic central spot. As a result they concluded they'd received excellent value for money.

Guests simply couldn't say enough good things about the hotel's staff. They were said to be very friendly and welcoming, and were also prepared to help out their guests whenever they could, with both advice and recommendations.

Guests really did not think much of the breakfast offered at the hotel. While it seemed to be included in the room rate, the general feeling was that it was so poor, consisting of little more than toast and a hot beverage, that guests would be better off finding a nearby café for their breakfast instead.

Though it does not seem to apply to all the rooms, at least a handful of them have exceptionally small bathrooms. Guests complained that they were so small that they were very awkward to use.

Some of the cheaper rooms at the hotel have no windows at all. Guests allocated one of these rooms found them to be a bit depressing, since the lack of natural light created a sense of “doom and gloom”, or at the very least the gloom part.
