Located in the heart of the business district in Dubai, Lavender is a family-friendly hotel. It’s just a short walk from the traditional shopping centre Al Nasser Square. Sleek rooms feature an LCD TV, free Wi-Fi, and a minifridge. Each room also features a private bathroom, a balcony, and air conditioning. Daily housekeeping is included with accommodations. Guests can make their way up to the rooftop to enjoy an outdoor pool and terrace for sun lounging. The building also features a business centre and meeting or banquet facilities. The hotel is home to two restaurants: Gondole Restaurant, which features all-day buffet or a la carte dining, and Santana Restaurant, a Mexican eatery with a live cooking show. Lavender is just over three miles from Dubai National Airport. Al Ghuriar Center, Deira Clock Tower, and Twin Towers Shopping Centre are roughly a half-mile from the hotel.
It was rare to read a review that did not praise the staff in some way. They were said to be friendly and polite and have the sort of agreeable attitude that made them easy to approach with a query or concern.
Quite a number of guests remarked that the rooms were a bit bigger than they were expecting. They certainly did not feel like they were being crammed in, with there being more than enough space for all guests.
Pretty much all the guests bringing up the question of value for money felt they had received good value, usually listing the low room rates and pretty decent accommodation as the reasons for their conclusion.

A number of guests had a couple of issues with the hotel's parking. For a start, it seems the entrance to the garage is very narrow, requiring great caution to enter without incident. Secondly, the space in the lot was also said to be tight, with guests finding it difficult to manoeuvre into and out of their bay.
The majority of guests did not much care for the buffet breakfast that was available. The main problem seemed to be that there simply wasn't enough variety to accommodate a very wide range of different tastes.
