Those who stayed at Laugabjarg said this guesthouse was located just a short walk away from the local thermal swimming pool, a convenience store and other shops. Furthermore, even though it was not right in the city centre, it was said to put guests within easy striking distance of Reykjavik’s attractions.
The value for money here was thought to be a highlight of the stay, especially since the kitchen facilities available for use on site were considered to be well-equipped, giving guests the chance to save on eating out. On top of this the beds are said to be very comfortable, the rooms were also thought cosy and warm, and the parking was free.
Many guests here mentioned their hosts as being very friendly, accommodating when needed and a great help when it came to recommending local attractions to check out; not to mention being a true ambassador for Iceland’s culture.
According to reviews, the shared bathrooms at Laugabjarg can sometimes be rather messy, but this was thought to come down to the behaviour of other guests, rather than any neglect on behalf of the staff.
The breakfast timing or availability was not always thought to be reliable for those heading out on tours, but the food was thought to be lovely. In addition to this, a few guests thought their rooms were dated, even if others said they were simply homely.
