Hotel Lantern Lodge (Kingsbridge, United Kingdom)

While, unfortunately, not all the rooms face the sea, those in rooms that did spoke of gorgeous views over the fields to the sea beyond. They found the views simply marvellous.

Going by the comments made, guests clearly loved the indoor pool. It was heated, naturally, so even on the coldest days they could take a quick dip and do a few laps to get a bit of exercise.

While there were one or two contrary opinions, the vast majority of guests really enjoyed the food that came out of Lantern Lodge's kitchen. Dinner was said to be especially good, and was a set four course feast.

A good many guests in what seems to be one or two of the rooms at the hotel complained that they were clearly of a much poorer quality than the rest. One had a problem with what guests said was a near total lack of natural light. Obviously guests' allocated one of these rooms were somewhat less than happy.

While many liked the décor, saying it was charmingly retro, a sizeable minority felt that it was just a little old fashioned. It wasn't that they felt it was worn, or resulted in a loss of function. They just would have preferred a more modern style.

Though not a problem the hotel can do anything about, several guests mentioned that the access roads to this stretch of coast can be quite tricky. It was said that they should only be attempted by confident and secure drivers.
