While there were a few contrary opinions expressed, the vast majority of guests were impressed by the staff. While not said to be especially friendly, they were regarded as professional and very helpful, especially when it came to assisting guests with local knowledge.
Guests mention that the beach is just two minutes away on foot if one takes a (legal) shortcut through a neighbouring resort property. They were happy to be able to get onto the golden sands in no time at all.
Despite the hot and humid conditions, which can cause all sorts of cleanliness issues, guests were actually quite impressed with the standard of cleanliness during their stay, saying the cleaning staff did an excellent job.
As with many hotel WiFi systems, the one at Lamoon Lamai was said to be quite weak and unreliable. Guests found it most frustrating.
Whether you slept well, or had disturbed sleep, seemed to depend a lot on where your bungalow was. Guests with bungalows facing the road mention that there is a lot of noise from the street, whether it be from mopeds passing by or prostitutes playing music on boom-boxes as they waited for customers. It was said to be very loud and not at all conducive to sleep.
While guests didn't really mind when it came to lunch and dinner, since there were so many great dining options nearby, some did miss having a restaurant on-site when it came to breakfast.
