Situated on the banks of the Guadalupe River, Lamb’s Rest Inn B&B is a romantic property offering charming accommodation in an exquisite English garden setting. There are seven rooms that have been individually decorated and furnished with love and care. Each features antique furniture, exuberant fabrics and all of the modern conveniences you will need. The tranquil English garden is a firm guest favorite, and there are many decks, hammocks and other facilities to allow them to enjoy the wonderful outlook. There is also an outdoor pool, the ideal spot to take the edge off the Texas heat. A gourmet breakfast is served in the rustic dining room very morning. The hosts will be happy to offer local dining recommendation for the other two meals if requested. Those who can drag themselves away from the property will find a number of activities available in the area, including exciting trips on the Guadalupe River.
It was undoubtedly the setting that guests most appreciated about Lamb’s Rest. While the outlook over to the river was lovely, it wasn’t anything concrete like that that most impressed guests, but rather the sense of serenity that was created by the outlook and 100 other things. Guests felt that they could really relax and unwind.
Guests really enjoyed the breakfast. While it is a communal breakfast, meaning both that guests must all be present at the same time and that tables could be shared among many parties, this did not seem to concern anyone. The atmosphere was said to be convivial and the food out of this world. Several guests also mentioned that menus would change from day to day, so even if staying for a few days they would certainly not tire of the food.
While no meals other than breakfast are available, the B&B does provide drinks throughout the day and chocolate-chip cookies in the afternoon. The cookies were said to have won an actual award or two, and guests said that they could understand why. They were often described as the best such cookies they had ever tasted.
Firstly, it must be stated that it was very near impossible to find a negative review of Lamb’s Rest, and no negative comments mentioned more than once could be found. One guest did highlight the fact that a Christian prayer is made before the communal breakfast and that this might be uncomfortable for those not of this faith.
