Many of the guests were very complimentary when it came to the decor of the rooms as well as the facilities within them. The spotlessly clean rooms equipped with all the necessary amenities including little extras such as fluffy robes and luxurious toiletries left a lasting impression with the guests.
The hotel is tucked away in the scenic Welsh countryside and surrounded by 50 acres of grounds making it an ideal location for those who want to relax and unwind. Guests enjoyed exploring the surrounding grounds which also served as a picturesque backdrop for couples who chose to have their wedding reception at the hotel.
Guests enjoyed using the indoor pool which they said was of decent size and well-maintained. The highlight for many was the outside hot-tub with stunning views over the lake and surrounding countryside. . Staff at the spa were described as professional and friendly and those who had the specialist treatments said they were pleased with their experience.
The atmosphere in the hotel’s restaurant and the lounge was described as quite dull by some of the guests who said that due to a lack of background music they felt quite uncomfortable and self-conscious. Guests also objected to the fact that there is no bar on the premises where they can sit together, enjoy their drinks and socialise.
The restaurant menu is said to change once a week which inconvenienced some guests who objected having to eat the same food on more than one occasion.
Some of the guests were disappointed to find that there are no restaurants in the hotel’s vicinity and that in order to reach the nearest tourist attractions they had to use their cars.
