The front desk staff and/or managers were roundly criticised by most guests for being exceptionally rude and unwelcoming. Guests felt they were so ill suited for a job in hospitality they didn't really understand what they were doing working at a hotel.

Guests had exactly nothing good to say about the rooms. They were described as being extremely shabby, with cigarette burns here and there, many pieces of equipment that simply didn't work and had dings, scratches and signs of extreme wear and tear all over the place. In addition, many also described them as “filthy” and were quite uncomfortable staying there at all due to hygiene concerns.

Guests clearly did not like the neighbourhood the hotel was situated in. It was described as a bit run down. It seems that there are many homeless people in the area, which some guests said made the feel uncomfortable, especially when they were approached for money. Others reported that they witnessed prostitutes outside plying their trade, which also did not inspire confidence.
