Laburnum Cottage offers basic rooms decorated in a traditional English B&B style. Family rooms are fairly spacious while single rooms are somewhat more compact. Rooms are bright and airy with good garden views and are kept spotlessly clean.

The bed and breakfast is owned by a lady who provides personal service, greeting each guest and showing them about. The owner is always on hand to deal with requests or queries but is never intrusive or annoying. The owner also provides useful information about where to eat or what to see in the area.

Breakfast service is excellent with a wide variety of cooked English breakfast items available. The breakfast room is also bright and sunny and immaculately clean.

There is no signage for the B&B either on the property itself or anywhere along the main road leading to the B&B. To make matters worse there is also no efficient lighting at night which makes it quite difficult to find the property at night.

It is important to note that not all the accommodation is the same size and it would be wise to inspect accommodation as some of the rooms are too small for family stays. The family accommodation however is quite spacious and therefore ideal, just be sure to book this accommodation in advance.

Shared plumbing throughout can sometimes make showering quite laborious as the water pressure will suddenly plummet if another guest uses a tap or turns on their shower at the same time which can be rather tedious.
