The rooms are well equipped, and contain large flat screen TV’s with premium cable, work desks, telephones, coffee makers, hairdryers and clothes irons. Some rooms also have microwaves and minibars. There’s a comfortable lobby, with big screen TV, as well as a business corner, open 24 hours, to help you with hat important presentation. There is ample parking, but also a free airport shuttle. Leisure visitors will be impressed with the outdoor pool and hot tub. A breakfast of continental staples and rotating hot items like bacon and omelets is served every morning. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, including the Texas Roadhouse, a great option for steaks and Southwest fare. Downtown Tucson, and its convention center, are 13 miles drive to the south.
Guests in May 2016 mentioned that rooms were in the processes of being updated. Previous guests had mentioned that the décor was looking a bit drab, so they clearly found it to be a positive move. The newly renovated suites were said to look especially good, so it would be worth requesting on of these.
Guests seemed pretty satisfied with the location of the hotel. They were especially happy to find a decent range of restaurants in the surrounding area. It meant they didn't need to trek all the way into Tucson to eat really well.
It seems that the hotel's staff were really a highlight of many guests stay. Again and again they would mention that the staff were incredibly friendly and carried out their duties in a very professional manner.
The property was undergoing renovation as of May 2016. Though guests did conceded that the crew tried to be as unobtrusive as possible, work must still be done. Work that could result in noise at an hour some guests would much rather be sleeping.
Though this hotel does offer an extended breakfast that includes hot foods in addition to the continental staples, guests did not seem to be impressed with what was offered. One fairly common complaint was that the omelet tasted and felt rubbery, and could not possibly have been made with fresh eggs.
A couple of guests mentioned that they felt the outdoor pool was a bit small. While certainly big enough for one person to swim, they felt it was too small to accommodate the number of guests likely to want to use it.
