It was hard to find anything bad written about the staff. Most guests found them to be engaged, helpful when it came to offering advice and recommendations and possessing the kind of professional demeanor that gave them confidence their concerns would be properly considered.

While perhaps taken for granted by American visitors, a number of foreign guests reported that the Wi-Fi was especially good. They seemed to find it reliable and fast enough for their purposes.

A couple of guests appreciated that, unlike many hotels nowadays, this one maintained some smoking rooms. They enjoyed not having to go and huddle outside every time they wanted a cigarette.

Several guests were very disappointed that the breakfast didn't have any hot food items like bacon and eggs on the menu. It seems that they felt that if the hotel was going to go to all the trouble to include breakfast, it should be a reasonably comprehensive spread that included such items.

An extraordinary number of guests reported that the elevators in the building seemed a little suspicious. They indicated that they looked, and more importantly sounded, like they desperately needed to be looked at by qualified technicians.

A couple of guests mentioned that they could hear whatever went on in the adjacent rooms almost as well as if they had been going on in their own. Suffice to say, they believed that no attempts at soundproofing had been made when constructing the building.
