Members of staff are great. Very friendly, helpful and appreciative of the inconvenience caused by various malfunctions. If, for example, the air conditioning breaks down ... they'll move you to another room, pronto!
It's just off the major highways, next to IKEA and close to Sawgrass Mills and a number of business HQs. Also, it's very handy for Fort Lauderdale Airport - only about 10 minutes away.
Check out the competition and see that the tariff here is really good value, particularly as breakfast is included. The hotel is also in a particularly quiet setting so, with comfortable beds, a good night's sleep is certainly on the cards.
There's hardly any maintenance to be seen and in an old building like this, that means botched repairs and a lack of decorative appeal. Non-pet owners don't like their accommodation to smell of animals - neither, of course, do most pet owners! Here, though, they seem to assume otherwise and 'that' smell is well established and unpleasant.
Cleaning is very hit and miss and certainly not thorough. Cockroaches are well in evidence here. Maintenance is no better, with amateurish DIY efforts, gaping holes in walls. That sort of thing!
There's very little choice at breakfast and the items that are there aren't readily replaced. They finish service on the dot at the advertised time ... If only they could adopt the same precision to maintenance and cleaning!
