While the room décor is a bit plain, the rooms are nevertheless very well equipped. Each features microwave, minibar, coffee maker, flat screen TV, fast Wi-Fi, work desk, telephone, hairdryer, iron and alarm clock. The star amenity at the hotel is definitely the outdoor pool and deck, the perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine. Guests who have been on the road for a while will appreciate the guest laundry, while all can make use of the ample free parking. La Quinta’s signature “Bright Side Breakfast”, consisting of continental staples and piping hot waffles, is served daily. There are a couple of good chain restaurants in the area, including an Applebee’s and a Chipotle Mexican Grill. Avid shoppers will find the extensive Oak Park Mall just a mile away.
The shoppers among the guests mentioned that there was a particularly good mall nearby, the Oak Park Mall. They seemed to find all the shops and goods they desired within the mall and were happy they didn't need to go traipsing off to the other side of town to find them.
While guests weren't exactly falling over themselves to say the hotel was excellent value for money, there were a number who felt that it did provide solid value. Given the facilities and room rate, it's fair to say most felt they received adequate value for money.
The hotel is right by an exit on the I-35. Guests found this very convenient, both when arriving and searching for it the first time, and also when heading off for their busy day of appointments or activities.
