The La Quinta group has a strong reputation for being exceptionally pet-friendly, and its Columbia location was no exception. Guests bringing their dogs along spoke of being made to feel very welcome, rather than merely being tolerated.
Guests found the location, right near an exit on the I-70, very convenient, since it let them be on their way to their destination in no time at all. Also, many guests were attending games at the University of Missouri and found the location, just 10 minutes away, excellent for this purpose.
Even guests who had a small issue here or there complimented the staff for being extremely welcoming on arrival and friendly and helpful when approached with a query or issue.
While the executive class rooms do have fridges and microwaves, these are not preset in the standard rooms. It seems that the fridge was especially missed by guests, who found that they had nowhere to keep their cold beverages cold.
The convenient location near the I-70 did not come without a price. A number of guests said that the rooms were not sufficiently soundproofed and that the noise from cars speeding by disturbed their sleep at night.
