La Pirogue is a large, spacious resort so you'll never feel bothered by crowds. Unfortunately, the wide-spread layout means there'll be some walking necessary between hotel facilities. The rooms are close to the beach but farther away from the lobby and the restaurants.
While most of the staff is wonderful, sometimes service can be a hit or miss. Several guests said the staff didn't always appear to be attentive to them, and requests can take some time to be fulfilled. Some guests also reported missed or semi-finished housekeeping.
