Situated in the very heart of the Old Town, and just a few minutes walk from the exquisite Malaga Cathedral, La Casa Mata Central is a charming guests house offering comfortable accommodation. While the rooms are very simply furnished, they are decorated with vibrant colours that add energy and life. They have ceiling fans for cooling in summer and work desks as well. There is a communal kitchen which guests are welcome to use to prepare light meals. It also has free tea and coffee available. There is also a small tour desk with information on Malaga’s many attractions. While there are no dining establishments onsite, there is certainly no shortage in the surrounding neighbourhood. There are places for all tastes and budgets, and those in need of recommendations can simply ask the hosts. Malaga has attraction ranging from beaches to high culture. The Picasso Museum is just 600 yards from La Casa Mata Central, while Malagueta Beach is 1.4 miles away. This was perhaps what most impressed guests about the property. They described it as being incredibly central, and not only near to the historical attractions many had come to see, but also near the bars, restaurants that they were looking for on their city break.
Guests clearly though highly of the property and its design. It was described as especially beautiful, with the old architecture and traditional courtyard creating a special atmosphere that could perhaps be found nowhere else other than in Andalusia.

Many guests had a problem with the air conditioning in the hotel. The most basic problem was that some rooms did not have a unit at all, which was a distinct problem in the middle of summer. The more common problem was that the units were so loud they had to be turned off at night, or that they were not strong enough to properly cool the room.
Noise problems were one of the more common issues guests experienced.
